The GE 15 Amp Single Pole Ground Fault Circuit Breaker with Self-Test features a tin plated copper stab that ensures a durable, long-lasting, and corrosion-resistant connection. It serves as a replacement for GFCI wall outlets and provides a reliable means to locate the source of a tripped circuit (back to the electrical panel). No more guessing which outlet to reset. The Self-Test function is a UL requirement for all GFCI devices, starting in June 2015. This GFCI variant ensures proper performance by conducting periodic diagnostic tests on its ground circuitry. In case of any issues, the breaker will trip and require replacement. The unit provides protection against overloads, short circuits, and ground faults, quickly shutting off power to prevent serious shock. It also detects even the lowest levels of electrical current leakage (ground faults). With a Class A 5mA ground fault circuit interrupter, it is suitable for wire range #14-8 AWG CU/#12-8.
